First of all I'd like to say this is a solid BBQ restaurant , definitely the best my wife and I have tasted in the 53 weeks of belonging to this beautiful county of Lincoln. The service is friendly and give off a positive vibe. The chef that is making all the magic happen is Shane. This man has some mad skills. Best I've tasted in the North Western parts of this great beautiful location. Awesome BBQ, a good selection of brews on tap, Blues playing throughout the restaurant, not too loud. A definite winner, and a much needed BBQ establishment in the Newport Oregon area. I'd highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves great food and just a great time.

A very pleasant dining and brewery experience. Limited servers so patient is good but enjoyable. Love the social interaction. Food is fabulously put together. Better than average taproom food. Very good. Be aware of opening days & time.

Tried The Wilds Taphouse today after hearing good things—and wow, they delivered! We met Shane (one of the folks running the place), who explained that everything is made in-house. That attention to detail shows in every bite. I ordered the tri tip & cheddar sandwich with their house BBQ sauce—though I’m convinced it was made in heaven and just rebranded here. The tri tip was perfectly cooked and stacked deep on a smaller bun, which just made the meat shine even more. The thick-cut fries, which I normally avoid, won me over with their incredible seasoning. And the house-made ketchup and ranch? Unreasonably good. My wife had the chimichurri tri tip sammie, which I tried—and suddenly I was faced with a brutal decision: keep mine, steal hers, or attempt the rare double-sandwich strategy. Love won, and I returned her sandwich... but we both ended up stuffed and happy anyway. Oh, and the mac and cheese? Good lord. We were full. We still kept eating. That good. The atmosphere is just as thoughtful. I have sensory issues from a past car accident, and dining out is usually exhausting. But here, they had a mix of comfy chairs and table heights, one low-volume TV, and subtle background music. Even with hard floors and ceilings, they cleverly used cloth hangings to reduce sound. For once, I left a restaurant without a migraine. And everything was clean! Service was equally excellent. Shane spoke about the restaurant like a proud parent—and rightly so. Everyone we encountered seemed happy to be there and proud of the place. That energy matters. The only downside? I ate too much because I couldn’t stop. And now I’m nervous that this review means more people will show up and I’ll have to wait for a table. But hey—this place deserves the love. It feels like the owners toured every bad bar, took notes on what not to do, and just did everything right.

If you want fresh delicious food cooked to order without all the additives and artificial ingredients, this is the place!! Food is all house made including the bread and even the ketchup! The best quality bbq food you’ll find! The smoked flavor is wonderful! The ribs are so moist and tender! Great selection of draft beers! Clean and lovely atmosphere. Very friendly caring staff.

Some of the best BBQ I have had in a long time. The seating was awesome, inside and out, and it was amazing to hear about all the events they have throughout the summer. The owner was an awesome guy and has some outstanding creative dishes.

Great food and service. As the saying goes don't judge a book by its cover. We accidentally drive into the back entrance and we're almost too afraid to go in. But once inside, it is a brand new, clean and lovely peopled facility. The food was killer and not overpriced. And NO WAIT to be served. Will come back everytime we are in newport.

This was our first time here. Greeted by a very friendly gentlemen (assuming the owner) to give us the lowdown on today's menu. We ordered a very potent "adult beverage" that was so super yummy! So many food options, we decided to sample a bunch and split them between us. The Cauliflower and Brussel Sprouts appetizers are to die for!!! We had the Beef and Cheddar sandwich that came with fries. Basically a trip tip sammy smothered in cheese sauce, and it was incredible. We will definitely return to try other goodies on the menu!!
